a love note to the October 2009 Unearth participants . Manzanita, Oregon

As we stand with both feet in 2010, I am drawn to think about all that this year will bring and of course on the days of 2009.

Last October, 25 amazing women gathered in Manzanita, Oregon and opened themselves up to creativity, hope, friendship, and revealing their inner beauty to one another. It was, simply put, life changing for all of us as each person spent time inside bravery and being open with themselves and others. (Read some of the Unearth participants' words in the previous post.)

As 2010 brings new possibilities and adventures, I am looking forward to other gatherings filled with such good things where we can feel safe sharing who we are while pushing ourselves on our creative paths.

Note that plans are in the works for another retreat in the Fall of 2010. Stay tuned for more information in the next few weeks.

I hope the first few days of this new year are filled with joy, laugher, and light...

Blessings,

I want to share several things, so I think it calls for a list:

1) I am still processing all the goodness that was the Unearth retreat with Andrea Scher, Kelly Rae Roberts, and 22 other amazing, beautiful, brave souls. It is simply hard to believe that this time last week we were all covered in paint and laughing and finding our way to our inner painter.

Thank you to each and every one of you who participated in the retreat. My heart is so full after spending time with each one of you.

Here are just a few links to some blog posts about the Unearth retreat:

2) Registration for the March 2010 retreat, (re)discover, begins MONDAY! I am beyond (really beyond) thrilled that Alicia Paulson, Andrea "Hula" Jenkins, and Stephanie Lee are teaching at this retreat. We are going to learn some incredible techniques from these amazing women! Click over to this page for more information about the retreat.

3) Several people have been contacting me about the February Light & Shadow retreat. There are spots available. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions about this retreat. After the time spent at the Unearth retreat, I cannot wait to dive into the beautiful work and play we will experience at this retreat with Misty Mawn and Darlene Kreutzer.

Blessings and light,

I am so excited about this new space and all the ways it will be growing in the next few weeks and months. A HUGE thank you to Kelly Barton for creating the logo and banners used on the site. She was more than a little patient with me these last few weeks. (If you are looking for someone who is endlessly patient and really will listen to you to help you figure out what you want...well, she is your girl!)

To get a bit more familiar with this new spot, please use the tabs at the top of this page to learn about the current retreats, retreats that are in the planning stages, and a little more about the Be Present Retreats. You can also subscribe to this blog by clicking on RSS in the sidebar. I will update this spot with the most current information about upcoming retreats and additional information about current retreats.

Please note that Light & Shadow still has a few spots, so please contact me if you are interested in joining Misty Mawn, Darlene Kreutzer, and me on an adventure at the Oregon coast in February.

As always, don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

Blessings and peace,
