Location and Dates

We will gather in Manzanita, Oregon, which is on the northern Oregon coast just south of Cannon Beach. (See the Location page for more information.) The retreat will begin with a welcome dinner the evening of Wednesday, March 10 and adjourn with a farewell breakfast the morning of Sunday, March 14. Because of the intimacy of these retreats, only 20 participant spots are available.

Specifics

Lodging:
We will stay in vacation homes in Manzanita that are within close walking distance of one another, walking distance to town, and either on the beach or a couple blocks from the beach. Housing will be assigned on a first-come/first-serve basis. Some classes, meals, and group gatherings will take place in the main beachfront house. You will feel right at home in this beautiful location.


The retreat experience includes:

Four days spent in workshops balanced with free time for exploring, relaxing, and so on

Four nights of lodging, private or shared rooms (lodging is assigned on a "first come, first serve" basis)

Meals include:
Breakfast—Included daily (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Lunch—Two of three lunches are included in the tuition price; one day lunch will be open so you can explore Manzanita
Dinner—Three of four dinners are included in tuition price; one evening will be open so you can explore the incredible restaurants in the area (recommendations will be given)
Snacks and beverages provided daily

Evening events to include a show and tell evening (where teachers + participants can share, trade, and sell their artwork) and other activities

Welcome bag, including some supplies needed for classes and other treats

Tuition costs:

Private room (room might have private or shared bath) $975
Shared room, individual bed $915
Shared room, shared bed $860*

As we are staying in vacation homes, if you are interested in other lodging options, at a discounted price, that might include a pullout sofa or futon, please contact Liz for information.
A day student rate is also available, please contact Liz for details.


*Friends traveling together sometimes choose the shared room, shared bed option to save money. However, you will not be asked to share a bed with someone you do not know.

(Note that the retreat cost does not include transportation.)

Registration and Important Dates

When registering, a deposit of $400 is due; balance is due by January 3, 2009. Payment can be made by check or Paypal.

More specific information, including a schedule, will be included in your registration packet.

Dates to remember:
October 23: Registration opens
January 3: Balance due in full
January 3: Last day to cancel and receive a refund (there will be a $50 processing fee)
January 4: Any cancellations on or after this date will not receive a refund
