One Move

June 16 - 20, 2015
Arch Cape, Oregon

here a woman

A new adventure

When brainstorming names for this retreat, I filled an entire page with ideas and then decided that what I really want to call it is: The juicy, magical gathering of beautiful souls where we will feast and dance by the sea and deeply connect and step into the light of the gorgeous, messy, true lives we want to live retreat.

But that is way too long to put on a mug, so I'm calling it One Move. (And yes, there will be mugs.)

And I'm calling it One Move because it all comes down to this: So many of us have a vision for ourselves that we want to step into - a dream, an idea, a hope, a desire deep inside you. It might be a big idea with many steps that need to happen to make it real. It might be a simpler dream that you could make happen today. It might be starting a new business, being more present to your daily life, writing that book that's inside you, or even just taking 10 minutes out of each day to recharge.

No matter the vision you have swirling inside you, you have to take the first step, then the next, then the one after that. You have to make one move each day to make it happen and to sustain it.

When you make the choice to come to this retreat, you'll be choosing One Bold Move that you want to make in your life.

This move might be big, or it might be really really quiet. You might already have one in mind as you read these words, or you might need to choose one from the many you have inside you.

When you leave the One Move Retreat, you'll have your unique roadmap to guide you wherever your adventures take you.

Some pieces that make this retreat special:

Before the retreat, I'll be connecting with you to help you decide on what your focus will be during the retreat. You'll also receive a care package in the mail with some soul work inside for you to do before you come. There will be a book and a few other surprises and good things inside. These tools will give you a place to begin and get you ready for our time together. Having a book club aspect of this retreat will give us a starting place for our conversation. I. Can't. Wait.

Then as we gather on the Oregon Coast to play with paper and color and words, take photos, share stories, and deeply connect, your One Bold Move will be the theme you'll focus on. We'll be creating:

A roadmap

At this retreat, we will begin to create a roadmap to help us plot out the small and big moves we need to make now and in the future.

A journal

We'll fill up a journal with ideas, images, inspiration, and our stories that will become a beacon of light for us as we take our next steps.

A New kind of path

We'll also dance it out and take photos to help us capture the clues as we remember the little girl inside us and there will be lip syncing.

After the retreat, we'll connect again, you and me, about how your small and big moves are going. It has become really important to me to add in this layer of connection so you feel supported as you begin living your one bold move into reality.

your retreat tuition includes

  • A safe environment that holds space for truth, laughter, moments of quiet, and the opportunity to share your story.
  • A heart-opening five-day experience that begins with a welcome dinner and opening ceremony on Tuesday evening and ends with a closing ceremony Friday evening and farewell breakfast and one more gathering Saturday morning.
  • Daily group gatherings led by Liz where we'll dive into our bold moves + journals + conversation.
  • Time in community to explore meditation, ritual, and everyday sacredness as ways to be more present in your daily life.
  • Daily meals* and snacks that will nourish you and invite you to see food as a form of soul care. You'll have one lunch on your own to explore the area and have time to yourself.
  • The opportunity to connect with kindred spirits who might just become life-long friends.
  • Time away from your day-to-day roles where you can just show up as you.
  • A chance to practice making your small moves so you can begin to truly implement them when you go home.
  • A care package that will come to your mailbox before the retreat that includes goodies to get you excited and focused before we gather.
  • One-on-one coaching with Liz before and after the retreat (details below).
  • A One Move toolkit.
  • A Soul Talisman necklace that we'll create together.
  • A lip-sync off (For real!)
  • Evening activities: Opening and closing gatherings, an art & soul brunch, and other activities.
  • Snacks and hot tea/coffee provided daily.
  • Surprises and treats throughout our time together.

One-on-One coaching with Liz will include a 20-minute individual session before the retreat where we'll discuss the One Bold Move you're thinking about and come up with a focus for your journey at the retreat. Then after the retreat, we'll schedule a one-hour coaching call for follow-up, connection, and further brainstorming. The opportunity for further coaching will be available.

Note: There are just 10 spots available at the Summer One Move Retreat (2 are left), which will provide a lot of opportunity for deep connection and space for alone time too.

*GF and vegetarian options will be provided at every meal. Please share any food allergies on the registration form and we will take those into consideration as much as possible when planning meals and snacks. If you have food concerns, we will communicate with you or provide a sample menu if needed as we get closer to the retreat so you can decide where you might need to supplement based on your individual needs.

Arch Cape

We'll gather in an oceanfront home (see photos below) in Arch Cape, Oregon, which is a little town nestled between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, and right by Hug Point, one of my favorite spots in the world. We'll also have time to explore Manzanita, which has great restaurants and fantastic shops! And we're close to Cannon Beach, another great Oregon Coast town!

Four rooms are available for lodging at the main home (for an additional cost, more information under registration). They are full at this time. I've also rented an additional adorable house a couple of blocks away from the main house with three rooms available: two private queen bed rooms (there is a special "bring a friend rate" for two friends who share a room) and one shared room with two twin beds.

Other Lodging

The Inn at Arch Cape is walking distance from the main house and currently has six rooms available. Some can be shared by participants (we have a private Facebook group where you can connect ahead of time). Several hotels are available in nearby Cannon Beach and Manzanita. If you'd like some more information, please get in touch.
