Hannah Marcotti, Kelly Barton, and Persephone Brown joined me for the Feast Retreat at Frog Creek Lodge. I wanted to create a retreat inspired by the line "Feast on your life." in Derek Walcott's poem "Love After Love." At this retreat we dove into looking at ourselves in this moment and how we can stay grounded in our lives through mindfulness and community. We painted and laughed and collaged and wrote poetry and did yoga and walked along the gorgeous shores of Puget Sound. And we feasted. This retreat helped me to really see how food prepared right from someone's heart can change a retreat experience for everyone (thank you Persephone for that lesson).
